Totnes

Totnes lies within an area often referred to as the South Hams. The other main towns within the South Hams being Dartmouth and Salcombe.

Totnes itself is situated on the beautiful river Dart. It’s a very picturesque market town with winding narrow streets which are steeped in history. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is full of character.

In and around the High Street and Fore Street the architecture is typically sixteenth and seventeenth century.

The quay area is a busy working port but also has a good mix of shops and restaurants.

The area is well known for its music and arts and Darlington Hall (which is 2 miles away) is internationally recognised for its plays, concerts and films.
