The town of Torquay, with its population of 64,000, is one of the UK’s premier resorts. It has a lively and sophisticated town centre which includes a variety of good quality shops, theatres, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.
The climate is mild which has helped the palm trees and gardens flourish. These back the beachfront and this gives the town a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere.
