Tavistock

Tavistock, with its population of some 11,200 people, is a West Country market town situated on the river Tavy. It lies on the South West edge of Dartmoor National Park, approximately fifteen miles north of Plymouth.

Over the years the town has evolved from many directions, with tin mining, the wool trade, the abbey and the pannier market all helping in its growth. Nowadays the town benefits from a good range of shops and places to eat. It’s a picturesque town, the largest in West Devon, and is set in the heart of the Devon countryside.
