Okehampton

Okehampton is an excellent base for exploring the west country. The town lies in the centre of Devon and enjoys excellent transport links. Both Plymouth and Exeter are easily accessible, with the former being 30 miles away and the latter just 23 miles.

Nestling in the foothills of Northern Dartmoor, Okehampton provides a wide selection of shops, from three supermarkets, to small independent stores which provide a personal service. You can also enjoy browsing the stores in the original Victorian Arcade and Red Lion Yard.

There are numerous places to dine, from 16th century inns to modern restaurants with a wide variety of flavours on offer, you’re sure to find something to suit.

Okehampton serves a population of approximately 5850 people, has ten primary schools in and around the town itself and a main college.
