Dartmouth

Dartmouth is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, with its beautiful river snaking through the wooded hills, fantastic countryside and cobbled streets. Its a town stepped in history, with the castle standing about a mile away and its natural harbour providing deep water moorings for both local and visiting vessels alike.

The Dart Valley Trail links Totnes with the town. It’s been a port dating back to Norman times and is still active now, with freight and fishing being the main commercial ventures in the area.

The Britannia Royal Naval College sits on the skyline, the famous training ground for Royal Navy officers. Guided tours of this magnificent building are available, with its museum, sculptures and many interesting artefacts on display, by booking through the Tourist Information Centre.

Dartmouth provides a variety of shops, fantastic places for dining and offers a wide range of activities.
